Politically WILD! playing cards is a
combination idea of the first deck
of playing cards done by Newt's
Playing Cards called
WILD! and the way the political
world often seems to be...WILD!
Here is a brief history...
- Several years ago playing card
artist Peter Wood created a deck of
cards for Newt's called
WILD!
- During the 2004 election we
created our first image using the
WILD! theme of John Kerry...but
we were still not for sure what to
do.
- In early 2007 Newt's owner and
employees began to dream about a
political deck of cards that would
be unique to the playing card and
political world.
- Mid 2007 the dream began to take
root as a theme of wild animals
would be used.
- In the fall of 2007 the
brainstorming began. Which
politicians would be used?
What animal should each politician
be made in to?
- Over Christmas break it was
decided that the court cards (Jack,
Queen & King) would be called
"mirror" cards of current issues.
- With the new year came the idea
that we should make the cards
"interactive" and allow everyone to
help write the comments about each
image.
